Hi! My name is Mariangela Demurtas and I am a singer Songwriter better know as lead singer of the Norwegian band Tristania and my other project Ardours.

I started singing when I was a little girl and I never stopped since then. My journey as a professional singer started in 2007 when I joined Tristania, a pioneer of gothic metal in the world. Together we released two albums : Rubicon in 2008 and Darkest White in 2013.

I started touring in different continents and perform in big stages all over the world.

I sing in many different styles and I have a very versatile voice. I wrote a solo album in 2013 but I really never released it because I was not sure about what direction I wanted for my songs, so I decided to release them on Patreon . But I finally got it clear and this year 2021 will be the year for me to release new music.

I have worked with very known producers such as Waldemar Sorychta, Sasha Gerstner and Cris Cedeberg, and I sang and shared the stage with many different known metal bands like Moonspell, Dark Tranquillity, Orphaned Land, Timo Tolkki s Avalon and more.

I started the band Ardours together with Kris Laurent and old friend of mine in 2016. We released and album on Frontiers Records in 2019 called "Last Place On Earth" and also an EP called "Eu4ia Ep" that came out in 2020. We have performed already next to bands like Paradise Lost among others. Due to the pandemic we had to cancel many shoes but we are ready to get started again.

The pandemic has been tough on artists in general but also made us more productive, so I launched my solo EP debut in February 2022 and the new album by Ardours will be out in July 2022!
